In 2015, I opened Calne Pet Supplies, a small independent pet shop specialising in some of the best natural foods, treats, health & wellbeing supplements and accessories for dogs, cats and small animals.

Since then I have welcomed hundreds of dogs through the door and spent many, many hours supporting owners.

In 2019, I started studying with The Institute of Modern Dog Trainers, the leading body for dog trainers and behaviourists worldwide and a founder signatory to the UK Dog Behaviour and Training Charter which is seeking to regulate a currently unregulated industry.

I launched The Puppy Adviser after gaining numerous IMDT accreditations alongside my trainer qualification and membership of The Pet Professional Guild as a Canine Training Professional.

In order to maintain my qualified status and memberships, I am required to undertake and provide evidence of my continuing professional development on an annual basis. I am passionate about expanding my knowledge and improving my skills and continue to attend courses, sign up for webinars, undertake research and read, read, read...!

I work with dogs of all ages and breeds including rescues, training all foundation behaviours and developing life skills.

I specialise in the areas that most frequently require training, advice and support including puppies, recall, loose lead walking, socialisation and enrichment. I also work with separation anxiety, dog to dog reactivity and canine cognitive disorder. I love scent work and am a qualified UK Sniffer Dogs Scent Work Bronze Instructor.

On the rare occasion I am not training clients or in my shop, I enjoy the chance to relax at home which I share with Matt, my amazingly supportive partner, Kermit our Black Labrador, Ruby our adopted British Bulldog and numerous ex-battery chickens!

I am happy to share all my accreditation certificates on request and discuss my continuing professional development.

I am fully insured and a certified canine first-aider.
